Aditi’s journey began unexpectedly when she was just 10 years old. While playing Kho-Kho at St. Thomas Sr. Sec. School in Mandsaur, coach Avinash Upadhyay noticed her exceptional speed and stamina. Recognizing her potential, he encouraged her to switch to hockey—a decision that would shape her future.

2. First Steps in Competitive Hockey

Following her coach’s advice, Aditi started training in hockey and soon participated in her first state and national tournaments in 2014, representing her school. Those early competitions gave her the confidence to dream bigger.

3. Selection in India’s Top Women’s Hockey Academy

In 2015, Aditi appeared for trials at India’s No.1 Women’s Hockey Academy in Gwalior. Her determination paid off when she successfully secured a place in the academy, beginning a more structured and professional phase of her training.

4. The Career-Changing Position Switch

Initially, Aditi played as a striker. However, in 2017, coaches Paramjeet Brar and Vandana Uikey identified her strong reflexes and mental toughness and suggested she transition to the goalkeeper position. This bold move transformed her career and revealed her true strength on the field.

5. First International Exposure

In 2018, Aditi traveled to Holland and England with her academy team. Playing against international teams gave her valuable exposure and helped her understand the pace and strategy of global hockey.
