The Tripura Government has unveiled its ₹32,423.44 crore Budget for FY 2025-26, reflecting a 16.61% increase over the previous year’s budget. The government has prioritized infrastructure, education, agriculture, and social welfare while also announcing a 3% DA hike for government employees and pensioners.
🔹 Key Budget Highlights
1️⃣ Increased Funding for Tribal Areas 🏥
- ₹860.28 Cr allocated to TTAADC, over and above RIDF & Special Assistance.
- Total Tribal Sub-Plan (TSP) allocation: ₹7148.85 Cr.
2️⃣ Major Infrastructure Projects 🏩
🚦 Flyover Construction in Agartala & Udaipur
- Agartala Flyover (Radha Nagar to IGM Hospital): ₹492 Cr
- Udaipur Flyover (Jaganath Chowmuhani to Khilpara): ₹355 Cr
3️⃣ Agricultural Boost 🌾
🚜 New Scheme: ‘Mukhyamantri Sashya Shyamala Yojana’
- Promotes high-yielding crop varieties with an initial budget of ₹5 Cr.
4️⃣ Education & Job-Oriented Training 🎓
🖥️ New Courses in Emerging Sectors:
- AI, Robotics, Cyber Security, Renewable Energy & Agri-tech
- Partnerships with CII, FICCI, NASSCOM for industry-relevant training.
⚡ Special Courses for:
- Solar Energy Installation
- EV Maintenance
- Sustainable Agriculture
📍 ‘Centre for Computer-Based Examinations’ in Hapania
- Budget: ₹15 Cr to help students take online exams within the state.
5️⃣ Welfare & Social Security 🏡
💍 ‘Mukhyamantri Konya Bibaha Yojana’ (Marriage Scheme for Girls)
- ₹50,000 grant for marriage of girls from Antyodaya families.
- Mass marriages at the Sub-Division level.
- Total Allocation: ₹10 Cr.
🏠 ‘Bharat Mata Canteen cum Night Shelter’ in Agartala
- ₹2 Cr allocated to provide accommodation and subsidized food for stranded individuals.
🧠 Chief Minister’s Scheme for Mentally Challenged Persons
- Monthly Pension: ₹5000 per person.
- Those already receiving ₹2000 disability pension will get an additional ₹3000.
- Total Budget: ₹40 Cr.
6️⃣ Super-100 Programme for Tribal Students 🎯
- Coaching for JEE, NEET, UPSC (IAS, IPS, IFS) for meritorious ST students.
- Budget: ₹3.10 Cr.
💰 Tripura CM Dr. Manik Saha Announces 3% DA Hike for Govt Employees & Pensioners 📢
- Effective April 1, 2025.
- DA/DR raised from 30% to 33%.
- Financial Burden: ₹300 Cr.
